About Us
Welcome to Apostolic Word of God Church in Upper Marlboro, Maryland! We invite you to worship with us as we lift the Name of Jesus and dive deep into the truth of God’s Word.
Our heart is to help new and growing believers develop a balanced, Spirit-led, and well-rounded walk with Christ. At AWOGC, every service is designed to be interactive and engaging — where you’re encouraged not just to listen, but to participate, ask questions, and grow together in community.
This ministry is built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself as the Chief Cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20)

Jesus Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
Sunday Service Time
Join us every Sunday as we gather to lift up the Name of Jesus in Spirit-filled worship and receive a timely, anointed Word from the Lord. Our services flow in prophetic liberty — with spontaneous praise, healing prayers, and Holy Spirit-led ministry that meets people right where they are.
Wednesday Bible Study
Thursday Prayer Meeting
Join us every Thursday from 8 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This is where the saints gather to intercede, war in the spirit, and pray heaven’s will into the earth. We pray for our families, our city, our leaders, and the nations. It’s a time of unity, breakthrough, and fervent, Spirit-led prayer where strongholds are broken and miracles are birthed.
Fishers of Men Prayer Breakfast (Monthly, 1st Saturday)
Once a month, we gather for a special time of food, fellowship, and focused intercession. This isn’t just a meal — it’s a Kingdom assignment. Believers come together virtually to break bread, share testimonies, pray for souls, and commission one another to be fishers of men in our daily lives.
